One of our trips out for
Easter was to Broadway Tower, an 18th century folly overlooking
the Vale of Evesham and beyond – it is said thirteen counties can be seen on
a clear day |

New since our last visit
in 2002, and opened to the public for the first time last year, was the
chance to see the nearby nuclear bunker, which would have been manned during
the Cold War in an emergency, in order to monitor any nuclear detonations and
consequent radiation |
