April

On Wednesday 3 Roger had his appointment with the consultant urologist, who concluded that he had no abnormal symptoms and that the current treatment appeared to be appropriate.

On Sunday 14 Overbury bowling club opened its green with a roll-up and a bring and share tea: about 50 members were present.  Matches in the local triples league started on Tuesday 28.  During the winter members had been active making major improvements to weather-proofing and drainage systems around the clubhouse, and Roger helped in a very minor way in a couple of the working parties.

Otherwise a quiet month:  the weather continued generally cold but dry, but we did start off some potatoes in the tubs on the patio and mowed the lawn for the first time.  We visited Jay in Oxford regularly and watched her skating a couple of times – she has made considerable progress during the winter.  And in our rather minimalist garden a few bulbs flowered.
