A
power cut on Saturday 5 triggered our burglar alarm, and nothing we did would
stop the din. Luckily the installer’s number
was on the control box and, even luckier, he was still in business and
working: he was soon out to replace the
stand-by battery which had failed after 14 years.
The
month was dominated by preparations for Christmas and the event itself. As usual Teresa put in a tremendous effort to
ensure everyone was catered for – presents, food, outings and our own
celebrations at home with Helen and Juliet.
