June

Not the best of weather for June, but we did manage to fit in a couple of barbecues, and the girls did not forget Fathers Day on Sunday 19, Jay producing this unmistakeable card for the occasion:

On Saturday 25 we welcomed Mike and his mother for their annual visit, who came bearing generous gifts and news of their latest travels.  Teresa again excelled herself providing a magnificent lunch of steak en croûte:  she decided to buy the meat with her usual weekly order from Tesco on-line, and I have to say it could not have been bettered – a magnificent fillet without a trace of fat or gristle.  She made a cheesy starter and a meringue pudding to complete the meal.  Roger had a small role opening the wine and making the coffee.
