Jay's Tent

In the summer, Jay will be going on a music course, at which they all sleep in tents for a week.  Last time she did the course, she took Helen’s old tent, which is small and traditional – you know, the shape of a dog kennel supported by two stout aluminium poles.

This time, Jay was determined to have her own tent, so here it is.  It is described as tunnel-shaped, the outer cover tensioned by three flexible poles, while the sleeping module is suspended inside.

This is it from the outside, on a test run in the garden …

… and from a different angle

The various flaps and openings at the front can be configured, as above, to make an awning over a communal area.  But they all zip up tight at night to create a weather-proof pod.

Here is Jay sitting in the living area of the tent …

… with the sleeping module, framed in white, behind her.  Here she is in the sleeping module …

… and this is her view looking out.
