Jay took Clyde to Guiting Power on Sunday 3 for a fun ride - a couple of hours across farmland and assorted jumps on a fine summer morning.
But on the whole the weather continued to disappoint – most of the month was cool and wet. However, we did have our first barbecue this year on a fine Friday (8).
Teresa and Jay also visited Hailes fruit farm for some pick-your-own strawberries, some of which were converted by Teresa into strawberry jam, delicious with her home-made scones:

Jay completed her A level exams between 15 and 27 July, after which she signed off at school for the last time. We now wait with tense expectation for the results in August which will decide her university entrance options.
Roger had a busy month of
bowls, which included a few soakings, and a damp Saturday morning mowing the
green.
